Last Monday Elia's mum came to our English class. She explained to the children how British people celebrate Christmas. As you know, she is from England. She talked about Christmas Day, Christmas food, decorations, Father Christmas... and all items related to Christmas traditions and customs.
It was a great experience and children not only learned but also enjoyed it!!!
Parental involvement in the classroom is a good opportunity to contribute to children's academic success. Teachers can promote it but some parents need encouragement to take the first step!!!
